Good News Gospel?

Good News, Gospel?

Mar 1:1-9 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, as it has been written in the Prophets, "Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who will prepare Your way before You; the voice of one crying in the wilderness. Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight." Mal. 3:1; Isa. 40:3

John came baptizing in the wilderness and proclaiming a baptism of repentance for remission of sins. And all the Judean country and those of Jerusalem went out to him, and were all baptized by him in the Jordan River, confessing their sins.

And John was clothed in camel's hair, and a leather girdle about his loin, and eating locusts and wild honey. And he proclaimed, saying, He who comes after me is mightier than I, of whom I am not fit to stoop down to loosen the thong of His sandals. I indeed baptized you in water, but He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit.

Mar 1:14-15 And after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time has been fulfilled, and the kingdom of God draws near. Repent and believe in the gospel.

Luk 20:1-2 And it happened on one of those days, as He was teaching the people and proclaiming the gospel in the temple, the chief priests and the scribes came up, along with the elders, and spoke to Him, saying, Tell us by what authority you do these things, or who is it who gave to you this authority? (Levitical or Melchezidek)

Heb 3:12-4:7 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?

And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.

Seeing therefore it remains that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:

Again, he marks out a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

(The Sabbath is the sign of our marriage to Messiah, like a wedding ring)

In Hebrew, engagement is like marriage, except being physically united.

Jer 31:31-34 Behold, the days come, says Yehovah, that I will cut a New Covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, not according to the covenant that I cut with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt (which covenant of Mine they broke, although I was a Husband to them, says Yehovah).

But this shall be the covenant that I will cut with the house of Israel: After those days, declares Yehovah, I will put My torah (Instruction of the 10 Commandments) in their inward parts, and I will write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

And they shall no longer each man teach his neighbor, and each man his brother, saying, Know Yehovah. For they shall all know Me, from the least of them even to the greatest of them, declares Yehovah. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sins no more.

Mat 19:16-19 And, behold, coming near, one said to Him, Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life? And He said to him, Why do you call Me good? No one is good except One, God! But if you desire to enter into life, keep the commandments.

He said to Him, Which? And Jesus said, "You shall not commit murder, nor commit adultery, nor steal, nor bear false witness, honor your father and your mother," and, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

1Co 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not in wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made void.

2Co 4:3-4 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled in them that perish: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn upon them.

Gal 1:1-14 Paul, an apostle, not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, the One raising Him from the dead, and all the brothers with me, to the assemblies of Galatia.

Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins, so that He might deliver us out of the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be the glory to the ages of the ages. Amen.

I wonder that you are so quickly turning back from the One having called you by the grace of Christ to another gospel, which is not another; only there are some troubling you, even determined to pervert the gospel of Christ.

But even if we, or an angel out of Heaven, should preach a gospel to you beside the gospel we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, and now I say again, If anyone preaches a gospel beside what you received, let him be accursed.

For do I now persuade men or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I yet pleased men, I would not be a slave of Christ.

And, Brothers, I make known to you the gospel preached by me, that it is not according to man. For I did not receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but by a revelation of Jesus Christ.

For you have heard of my manner of life in time past in the Jews' religion, that with surpassing zeal I persecuted the assembly of God and ravaged it.
