The New Covenant

The New Covenant

Jer 31:31-36 “Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like The Covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My Covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the LORD.

For this is the Covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD: I will put my Torah within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”

   Note: John 14: 7-15

Thus says the LORD, who gives the sun for light by day and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— the LORD of hosts is his name:

If this fixed order departs from before me, declares the LORD, then shall the offspring of Israel cease from being a nation before me forever.”

Note: The New Covenant was not made with Gentiles.

Mat 10:5-7 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

But by being Born Again, (becoming a child of Abraham), Gentiles can graft into the New Covenant promise made to Abraham.

Born again was not new. Jews would take a Gentile that believed in the God of Abraham, baptize them and when they would come up out of the water, they would say, "you are born again and are now a child of Abraham",  born into the promise of the New Covenant.

This why Nicodemus asked, "can a man enter the second time into his mother's womb”, because he wasn't a Gentile.

But by being born again, he wouldn't be under the Levitical Priesthood, but would be under the Melchezidek Priesthood in Messiah as Abraham was. Abraham kept the Torah or God's Instructions or Covenant. The Law didn't come in until 430 years later.

Mat 19:16-19 Behold, one came to him and said, “Good teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? He said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good but one, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep The Commandments.

He said to him, “Which ones?” Jesus said, “‘You shall not murder.’ ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ ‘You shall not steal.’ ‘You shall not offer false testimony.’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’ And, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”

Jesus didn't say believe in me, because, if you believe in Him, you'll keep the Words His Fathers spoken on mount Sinai, The Covenant.

The Father's Words are renewed in the New Covenant. Instead of the blood of bulls and goats mixed with water, this one is made with Jesus's Blood.

Joh 19:34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.

Also, why didn't Y'shua say, and don't take the mark of the beast, and tell him what it is? By keeping the Covenant you can't have the mark of the beast.

Exo 20:8  Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Remember is the Hebrew word Zakar that means to mark something to remember it.

Exo 31:14-18 Ye shall keep the Sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.

Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day He rested, and was refreshed.

And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.

Deu 11:18 And you shall lay these Words up in your hearts, and in your souls, and shall bind them for a sign on your hand. And they shall be for frontlets between your eyes, or (Forehead).

Note: The only spoken words by GOD was the 10 Commandment Covenant.

Rev 14:6-10 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark(sign) in his forehead, or in his hand,

The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

Note: Rev 14:12  Here is endurance of the saints: here are those keeping the commands of God, and the faith of Jesus.'

Isa 56:1-8 Thus said Jehovah: 'Keep ye judgment, and do righteousness, For near is My salvation to come, And My righteousness to be revealed.'

O the happiness of a man who doth this, And of a son of man who keepeth hold on it, Keeping the sabbath from polluting it, And keeping his hand from doing any evil.

Nor speak let a son of the stranger, Who is joined unto Jehovah, saying: 'Jehovah doth certainly separate me from His people.' Nor say let the eunuch, 'Lo, I am a tree dried up,' For thus said Jehovah of the eunuchs, Who do keep My sabbaths, And have fixed on that which I desired, And are keeping hold on My Covenant:

I have given to them in My house, And within My walls a station and a name, Better than sons and than daughters, A name age-during I give to him That is not cut off.

And sons of the stranger, who are joined to Jehovah, To serve Him, and to love the name of Jehovah, To be to Him for servants, Every keeper of the Sabbath from polluting it, And those keeping hold on My Covenant.

I have brought them unto My holy mountain, And caused them to rejoice in My house of prayer, Their burnt-offerings and their sacrifices Are for a pleasing thing on Mine altar, For My house, 'A house of prayer,' Is called for all the peoples.

An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, Who is gathering the outcasts of Israel: 'Again I gather to him—to his gathered ones.'

Note: The Hebraic tradition of the marriage proposal, was the man would ask the woman over a glass of wine to marry him. If she said yes, she would sip some of the wine.

Now it's just like being married, but not sexually. If the bride is with someone else, It's adultery and she would be stoned to death.

The man would go to his father's house and build a room on for they to be together after the wedding.

That is what we do when we take communion. We are excepting the terms of the marriage agreement, The Covenant.

1Co 11:23-30 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you—that the Lord Yeshua, on the night He was betrayed, took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you. Do this in memory of Me.”

In the same way, He also took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the New Covenant in My blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in memory of Me.”

For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He

Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the Lord’s cup in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.

But a man must examine himself, and then let him eat of the bread and drink from the cup. For the one who eats and drinks without recognizing the body, eats and drinks judgment on himself.

For this reason many among you are weak and sick, and quite a few have died.

Note: When you drink the cup, then you willfully break the Covenant, your guilty of breaking the agreement you just made.

If you are in a affair, don't drink the cup until you stop the affair and repent.

If you're thinking, God wouldn't use the Sabbath to test people.

Exo 16:4  And Jehovah said to Moses, Behold, I AM! Bread will rain from the heavens for you. And the people shall go out and gather the matter of a day in its day, so that I may test them, whether they will walk in My Law or not.
